The Orile Sportwear Project

On Thursday 7th November our founders visited the Orile Iganmu Primary school, a government school based in the Iganmu area of Surulere LGA, bearing gifts!
When we first contacted the Head teacher, Mrs Kate, we were informed that the school had a huge emphasis on sports and the need to keep active. They informed us that they have a yearly inter-school sports day where each school house would complete against each other. However, the school population is from a low-economic area in Lagos and as such, the children often do not have the right school attire to participate.
The AfoCelia charity Foundation sponsored the school PE sportswear for every one of the school children - ensuring that no child was left out and was able to participate in the next inter-sports day competition to be held on December 3rd 2024. The charity also helped sponsor the official sports team kit so that the Orile sports team can hold their heads up high when representing their school in other school sports competitions
